The CMS Apprentice Academy was established in 2018 as part of our ongoing commitment to providing young people with training, experience and opportunities for personal growth and development.

Every year, the CMS Apprentice Academy offers around 12 young people the opportunity to join and complete our 60-week training programme. The programme covers every aspect of manufacturing and installing windows to our industry-leading standard, alongside personal development and technical training across a range of different areas within CMS with an aim to place all successful apprentices in permanent roles within the company upon completion.


Level 2 Modern Apprenticeship in Fabrication of Glass Supporting Systems at SCQF Level 5

Working within our factory apprentices are assigned a mentor to guide them through all aspects of manufacturing and glazing a window, to be reviewed by external assessors throughout.


SVQ Level 2 Modern Apprenticeship in Fenestration and Installation at SCQG Level 5

On-site, on-the-job training within CMS’s PVCu contract delivery department. Apprentices work with qualified window fitters, alongside external assessment and review.


Modern apprenticeships in business administration are also available at our head office.
